The UTKC was fortunate to have a pair of very distinguished guests visit our dojo in the Spring of 2003: Ryoke Abe (Men's individual Kata 2nd '92 World Championships in Granada, 2nd '94 Worlds in Kota Kinabalu, 2nd '96 Worlds in Sun City, 1st '98 Worlds in Rio de Janeiro, 2nd 2000 Worlds in Munich) and Takashi Katada (Men's individual Kata 1st 2002 World Championships in Madrid). The two conducted a very informative seminar that evening and it was a great opportunity for UTKC members to learn from such accomplished karate-ka.
